Attention all free IHOP pancake lovers! IHOP Restaurants just announced the date for their annual IHOP National Pancake Day event this year is February 27th from 7am-7pm (some locations participating until 10pm).
This day is part of their 60 Days of Giving campaign and all activities for this event benefits charities dedicated to finding cures for and aiding in life-threatening diseases in children and families, including Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
How to get free IHOP pancakes
So on February 27th guests can receive a free short stack of Original Buttermilk Pancakes at IHOP Restaurants nationwide. In return, you can leave a donation of any size. All proceeds stay within the community where they are raised.
The goal this year is to raise $5 million during the two-month campaign and to serve up nearly 5 million pancakes on Feb 27th.
“At IHOP, we think doing good is delicious. Every stack of pancakes we serve on our signature day counts toward helping our charity partners improve the health and lives of millions of children and families across the country,” said Darren Rebelez, president of IHOP.
The impact of this campaign
For pancake lovers around the country, this event has become iconic. And since 2006, IHOP and its franchisees have raised close to $30 million for youth health, wellness, and educational organizations. $30 million!
If you’re out of state, no worries. IHOP restaurants in Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and Mexico will also be participating on February 27th.
