Toluna is a totally legitimate platform. It’s run by a reputable company, and it consistently pays out as promised.

Toluna isn’t some random website. It’s the public-facing branch of Toluna USA, Inc., a multinational market research company based in Connecticut. 

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) gives Toluna an A+ rating. 

Does that mean everybody has a good experience on the platform? Of course not. You can see negative reviews right on the company’s BBB page. But the A+ rating does prove that Toluna is a legitimate company.

And on review sites like Trustpilot, user after user compliments Toluna for paying out effectively. Yes, there are bad reviews – about not qualifying for surveys and other typical issues – but none that suggest the platform isn’t legit. 

Is Toluna Safe?

By all accounts, Toluna is safe to use. 

In all my time researching Toluna and reading reviews online, I haven’t encountered a single complaint about crime or stolen data. But I have found lots of people praising the site for consistently making payments. 

The “small print” on Toluna’s website is also reassuring. They have a detailed privacy policy where they spell out exactly how they collect and use your data. And in their “Terms” page, they tell you how to use the site so you avoid getting your account deleted. 

This type of transparency is one more sign that the site is safe and legitimate.

We’ve reached the key section of any decent Toluna review, where you learn what’s great about the site and what falls short of expectations. 

Overall, I’d say the pros outweigh the cons – but you can decide for yourself.

There are lots of positive Toluna reviews on the web, enough to give the platform a 3.9-star rating on Trustpilot. But there are also some bad ones. Because, hey, even reputable platforms aren’t perfect.

Let’s start by looking at a positive Toluna review. Not only did this user find the platform easy to use, but they also got multiple surveys and received their bonus instantly.

Another user gave an extremely thoughtful 4-star Toluna review. It sounds like their overall experience has been good, but they wish they weren’t disqualified from so many surveys.

The disqualification rate is definitely the platform’s biggest problem. 

Another user said the surveys are “easy and good” but complained of getting “kicked out of” half the surveys.

And then there’s the issue of having your account deleted altogether. 

One user said their account was shut down with no explanation. This person was moving between 2 countries, but that probably shouldn’t have resulted in getting kicked off the site.

Unfortunately, managing a massive load of accounts is often difficult for survey platforms, and it sounds like Toluna is prone to the occasional mistake.

People responded by describing their experiences with Toluna. Everyone seemed to agree that the site was legit, but they also raised some minor concerns.

In one brief Toluna review, a user said it could “take a while” to earn rewards.
